POSITION SUMMARY: Our Cafeteria is looking for a dynamic and collaborative member to join our team! The Food Counter Attendant maintains a clean, fresh, and well-stocked salad bar for our customers. The Attendant takes pride in food presentation, practices safe food handling, and enjoys working in a fast-paced food service environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and arranges fresh salad bar ingredients (vegetables, fruits, toppings, dressings, etc.), while ensuring food items are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated according to food safety standards.
- Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service

Keeps the salad bar area clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Monitors food levels and restocks as needed throughout the shift.

Assists with prepping ingredients in advance of busy periods.
- Disposes of expired or spoiled items according to policies.

Interacts with customers courteously and responds to any inquiries or special requests

Completes opening and closing duties for the salad bar station.

Supports kitchen team with light prep or cleaning tasks as needed.

Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous food service or kitchen experience a plus, but not required

Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods

Good time management and organizational skills

Friendly, team-oriented attitude
