Early-stage pharmaceutical seeks articulate and organised individual for part-time administrative work. ~20 hr / wk with guaranteed floor pay (per month) and hourly compensation above 20 hrs.
Duties:
- Maintaining schedule of various founders
- Scheduling meetings appropriately with clients, vendors, and functionaries
- Writing email correspondences which can include complex operational logistics, vendor management, technical forms / documentation, and administrative tracking
- Grant proposal review & proofreading
- Miscellany, such as: taking pictures of sites / warehouses, social media outreach, etc.
- Be available for occasional work needing to be carried out on a weekend or outside of traditional business hours (rare, still within 20 hr / wk)
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's or equivalent; genuine writing ability without using AI as a crutch is prioritised over formal training (necessarily)
- Ability to learn quickly
- Professional demeanour and attitude
Desired qualifications:
- Prefer Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences or pure arts (e.g. literature)
- Familiarity with any of the following: pharmaceutical development, Canadian law, business, or manufacturing
- Exposure to academic grants -- writing or reviewing
- Bilingualism (Mandarin, or others)
- Valid ON driver's licence
The ideal candidate for this position will have self-direction, a high attention to detail, and be able to embrace change and ambiguity; candidates expecting a role with repetitive action or well-defined parameters will be disappointed. If you're the mom friend or the natural event planner in your friends group -- if you naturally colorcode your notes, or make a spreadsheet for a vacation, just as part of your personality -- we want to hear from you.
Duties may vary in both category and frequency, so please be prepared for (or better yet, enjoy) a startup environment. Though not necessary, a candidate that has some interest in chemistry or biomedical technology would find themselves enjoying the role more, as well!

Compensation dependent on education level, experience, and closeness of fit to desired background; range $2,500 - $3,500/mo for 20 hr/wk (guaranteed regardless of actual hours worked), prorated at $30 - $45/hr for additional hours each week as needed.
It is possible to hold a separate part-time job or attend school while performing the functions of this role. Nevertheless, we aim to pay a decent wage.
