What we need
Under the supervision of the Technical Services Manager, the Horticulturist will develop and maintain the appearance of the site's landscaping in accordance with brand standards and in collaboration with the design team.
You will support the elevation of our culture through the lens of our pillars: The best in wellness | The feeling of somewhere else | A trouble-free experience | In a natural state.
What you’ll do

Work alongside a team of workers who care for the health and appearance of the landscaping around them;

Carry out planting work of trees, shrubs, plants and flowers with the landscaping workers;

Ensure the application of fertilizers, pesticides and other plant and flower care products;

Working with Procurement to order indoor and outdoor plants related to landscaping;

Ensure the coordination of pruning, wood cutting and lawn care etc.

Interact with guests of the spa and educate on our various trees, plants etc.

Maintain the irrigation system.

Perform other related duties.
Profile needed
What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

College diploma or professional degree in horticulture is an asset;

Minimum 2 years experience in landscaping and facility landscaping management;

Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques;

Strong horticulture knowledge (trees, plants, varieties, soils etc)

Ability to confidently speak to others and share knowledge

Creativity and sense of aesthetics

Experience in budget management;

Good manual skills;
-
Positive leadership and communication skills;

Valid driver's license;

Good physical condition: ability to work in a noisy, hot and/or cold outdoor environment, ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50lbs (22,5 kg) with ease.
When
You will work on flexible schedule, 40 hours a week (days, evenings, weekends, holidays). Possibility of being on call for a determined period. This is a seasonal position starting in the Spring and ending beginning of November.
