We are seeking experienced, professional Tour Managers to accompany Canadian travellers on escorted international tours. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about travel, thrive in dynamic environments, and take pride in creating seamless, memorable experiences for their guests.
As a Tour Manager, you will be more than a logistics coordinator - you will be the face of Senior Discovery Tours on the road. From the moment guests depart Canada until they return home, you will provide leadership, guidance, reassurance, and support while ensuring every aspect of the journey runs smoothly.

About the Role
Our Tour Managers accompany groups on international itineraries throughout Europe and other destinations worldwide. Working independently while supported by our experienced operations team, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the tour and ensure our travellers receive the exceptional service for which Senior Discovery Tours is known.
No two tours are the same. Success in this role requires professionalism, adaptability, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience and Leadership
- Serve as the primary host and company representative throughout the tour
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable group atmosphere
- Build rapport with travellers and ensure their needs are addressed promptly and professionally
- Provide clear communication regarding schedules, logistics, and daily activities
- Enhance the travel experience through destination knowledge and practical travel guidance
Tour Operations
- Coordinate all aspects of the itinerary while travelling with the group
- Manage arrivals, departures, transfers, hotel check-ins, and transportation logistics
- Liaise with local guides, hotels, transportation providers, and other travel partners
- Ensure tour services are delivered as promised and maintain the highest standards of quality
- Problem Solving and Guest Support
- Respond confidently to unexpected situations and changing circumstances
- Assist guests with travel-related concerns, including delays, lost luggage, medical situations, or other unforeseen issues
- Make informed decisions in the best interest of both travellers and the company
- Remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure

Position Details
Position Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
Location: Based in Canada with extensive international travel
Availability: Assignments are offered throughout the year based on operational requirements and Tour Manager availability.
Working Environment: Tour Managers should expect extended travel periods, irregular hours, and occasional weekend and holiday work while on assignment.
