Scottish Gas Group Inc. (SGX) is looking for an experienced Licensed HVAC Service Technician to join our growing mechanical and electrical service team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded technician who enjoys varied work and wants a long-term position with a company expanding across residential and light-commercial mechanical services.
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and installing a variety of HVAC equipment throughout the GTA, including:
- Central air-conditioning systems and heat pumps
- Furnaces and rooftop HVAC equipment
- Boilers and hydronic heating systems
- Ductless and mini-split systems
- Pool and spa heating equipment
- Gas-fired appliances and related controls
- Preventive maintenance and system commissioning
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 313D or 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic licence a MUST
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with air-conditioning installation, service and repair
- Valid G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to complete service documentation accurately
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade team
Strong Assets
- Valid G2 or G1 Gas Technician licence
- Boiler installation, troubleshooting and repair experience
- Hydronic heating and control-system experience
- Experience with light-commercial HVAC equipment and rooftop units
- Pool heater or specialty gas-appliance experience
- Manufacturer training or certifications

Compensation: $40.00 – $50.00per hour, based on experience and licences
