Hotel Houseperson – Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Hotel Houseperson to support the Housekeeping team in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, meeting spaces, and employee areas.
Assist Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and other housekeeping supplies as needed.
Remove trash, soiled linens, and debris from guest floors and housekeeping areas.
Perform light cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and spot-cleaning surfaces.
Set up and move furniture, rollaway beds, cribs, and other guest-requested items.
Respond promptly to guest and housekeeping requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged property to the appropriate department.
Ensure housekeeping storage rooms and supply areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Follow all hotel safety procedures, cleanliness standards, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or customer service experience is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and carry items throughout the shift.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
