CTM Cryogenics has been repairing, refurbishing and inspecting specialized cryogenic and industrial gas trailers for over 40 years. Our customers include some of the largest names in the gas industries and the equipment we work on is some of the most specialized in the transportation industry.
We are looking for a trailer mechanic with strong hands-on assembly skills to join our shop team. This role focuses on the physical build-out and systems installation of trailers, from air ride suspension and pneumatic lines to electrical wiring and component mounting. You will work from CTM's shop schematics and internal procedures, and your output directly feeds into our Quality Control certification process.
If you work precisely, take ownership of your work, and want to build expertise in a niche trade with a stable, growing company, this is the role.
What You Will Do
Trailer Assembly and Dressing: Install air tanks, valves, shocks, and air springs for air ride suspension systems
Pneumatic and Electrical Installation: Read and interpret CTM schematics to install conduit, run air lines, and route heavy gauge wiring throughout trailer assemblies
Mechanical and Component Installation: Measure and cut steel components, install tires, fenders, and mudflaps, and mount light and junction boxes
Electrical Finishing: Connect LED lighting systems to plug-and-play harness configurations with clean, organized cable management
Quality and Precision: Read and apply correct torque specifications for all assemblies in accordance with CTM procedures
Inventory and Logistics: Identify part numbers, verify packing slips against incoming deliveries, and process items accurately into inventory

Experience in trailer mechanics, heavy equipment assembly, or a related mechanical trade
Ability to read and work from schematics
Working knowledge of air brake and air ride suspension systems
Experience with pneumatic line installation and heavy gauge electrical wiring
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specifications precisely
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and perform physical manual work
A valid 310J licence is an asset but not required for the right candidate
The following are considered additional assets:
Experience with Wabco or Haldex ABS and roll stability systems
Familiarity with trailer electrical systems and harness wiring
What We Offer
Competitive hourly wage based on experience
Comprehensive benefits package
