About Us: Sugar Cafe & Lounge is a dynamic Asian fusion destination located in Uptown. By day, we are a cozy, stylish cafe serving a curated brunch menu and artisanal handcrafted beverages. By night, we transform into a high-energy lounge and club featuring craft cocktails, curated music, and an electric nightlife experience. We are redefining Uptown by bringing the energy and elegance of Downtown culture to a fresh, inclusive space.

Position Overview: We’re seeking a passionate, charismatic, and adaptable Server/Barista to join our team. You’ll be the face of Sugar, crafting specialty coffee by day and serving craft cocktails by night. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, love connecting with people, and can seamlessly transition from cozy cafe vibes to high-energy nightlife.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, teas, craft cocktails, and seasonal beverages
Take food and beverage orders, offer menu recommendations, and provide pairing suggestions
Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and personalized service to every guest
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting cafe and lounge area
Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
Assist with opening/closing procedures and side duties
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth service
Support the day-to-night transition by maintaining the venue's ambiance and energy

What We’re Looking For:

1+ year of experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred
Passion for coffee, cocktails, and guest service
Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of espresso preparation, latte art, or mixology is a plus
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
