Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our moving team. This role is ideal for individuals who own their own truck/ Sprinter Van and are looking to leverage their time & driving skills in a dynamic environment. The Owner Operator Driver and mover will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes within GTA
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status.
Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) CGL (Commercial General Liability) & CVOR
Familiarity with relocation, residential move, commercial move and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Experience in relocation and moving service is highly desirable.
Basic knowledge of automotive repair to handle minor maintenance tasks.
Forklift operation experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
Cantonese speaking is a plus.
