Position Overview
CSN Collision is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter Prepper to join our busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process, ensuring a high-quality finish. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the success of our painting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and cleaning as necessary.
- Mask off areas of the vehicle that do not require painting to ensure precision.
- Inspect surfaces to identify imperfections and ensure that they are rectified before painting.
- Collaborate closely with painters to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle and mix paint materials according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform quality checks on surfaces after preparation.
- Assist in maintaining painting equipment and tools in good condition.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a painter prepper or in a related auto body role.
- Familiarity with various painting and preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform the tasks required in this role.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in auto body repair or painting is a plus.
