We are seeking a motivated and reliable Gardening and Landscaping Assistant to join our team in Midtown Toronto and help bring our clients’ outdoor visions to life.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hardworking Gardening and Landscaping Assistant to support our team in delivering high-quality lawn care and landscaping services. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to learn new skills in gardening and landscaping. Note: Student applicants are welcome to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Lawn Maintenance: Mow lawns, trim edges, and remove clippings to ensure a neat and professional appearance.

Weed Control: Pull weeds, apply mulch, and maintain weed-free garden beds and lawn areas.

Sod and Garden Installation: Assist in installing sod, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and preparing soil for new garden beds.

General Landscaping Tasks: Support the team in tasks such as raking, pruning, fertilizing, and watering plants and lawns.

Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and hand tools, to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Site Cleanup: Clear debris, leaves, and other materials from job sites to maintain a tidy work environment.

Customer Interaction: Communicate politely with clients and follow instructions to meet their landscaping needs.

Qualifications:

No prior experience required, but a passion for outdoor work and landscaping is a plus.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment is an advantage but not required (training provided).
