Role Summary
The Principal Guidewire Senior Engineer E1 Guidewire ClaimCenter serves as the senior most technical authority for Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions driving architecture engineering excellence and large-scale claims transformation initiatives within the Property Casualty PC Insurance domain
This role is responsible for leading end-to-end Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations cloud transformation programs modernization initiatives and enterprise integrations The Principal Engineer partners closely with business stakeholders architects delivery leaders and senior client executives to define technology strategy solve complex business challenges and deliver scalable high performance solutions
The ideal candidate combines deep Guidewire ClaimCenter expertise strong insurance domain knowledge and proven leadership in large-scale transformation programs
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership Architecture
· Serve as the technical leader and subject matter expert for Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions
· Define and govern enterprise architecture standards design patterns and implementation best practices
· Lead architecture reviews solution assessments and technical governance activities
· Drive architecture decisions supporting scalability maintainability performance and security
· Provide strategic guidance for Guidewire Cloud migrations upgrades and modernization initiatives
Guidewire ClaimCenter Delivery Leadership
· Lead the design and implementation of complex Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions
· Oversee claims transformation programs including process automation and digital claims initiatives
· Drive integration architecture across claims ecosystems involving policy billing data and third-party platforms
· Ensure successful delivery of large-scale Guidewire engagements across multiple work streams
· Support estimation solution planning and program execution activities
Insurance Domain Expertise
Provide consulting and thought leadership on claims management transformation
· Advise stakeholders on
o First Notice of Loss FNOL
o Claims Intake and Adjudication
o Litigation Management
o Subrogation and Recoveries
o Fraud Detection
o Claims Settlement Processes
· Align technology solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements
Engineering Excellence
· Establish development standards and quality engineering practices
· Lead code reviews design reviews and performance optimization initiatives
· Drive DevOps CICD automation and cloud engineering best practices
· Minimize technical debt and improve application reliability and maintainability
· Promote reusable components and implementation accelerators
Client Stakeholder Engagement
· Act as a trusted advisor to client technology and business leaders
· Present technical roadmaps architecture strategies and transformation recommendations
· Support proposals architecture discussions and strategic client engagements
· Collaborate with senior stakeholders to resolve critical delivery and technology challenges
Mentorship Team Development
· Mentor architects technical leads and senior engineers
· Build technical capabilities within the Guidewire practice
· Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning
· Support talent development knowledge sharing and succession planning
