Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with both people and animals and can provide excellent customer service in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer phone calls, emails, and client questions.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
Check clients and patients in and out.
Maintain accurate client and patient records.
Process payments, invoices, and other financial transactions.
Communicate appointment and treatment information to clients.
Coordinate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
Handle prescription requests and medication pickups as directed.
Address client concerns professionally and refer medical questions to veterinary staff.
Assist with administrative tasks, filing, data entry, and inventory support.
Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to triage medical cases over the phone
Compassionate and comfortable working with animals and their owners.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Professional phone and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Ability to accurately handle payments and financial transactions.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to work effectively as part of a veterinary team.
Calm, patient, and professional when handling difficult or emotional situations.
Previous veterinary, medical reception, administrative, or customer service experience required.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
