As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist at Trademark, you will play a key role within the Finance team. You will oversee the full accounts payable cycle while supporting broader accounting functions, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage accounting operations accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all accounts payable transactions accurately and on time
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account coding
- Conduct account reconciliations, including vendor accounts, bank accounts, and assigned GL accounts
- Assist with general accounting duties such as accruals, adjustments, and reporting support
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Collaborate with internal departments to verify invoice coding and approvals
- Prepare, review, and submit employee expense reports for processing
- Maintain vendor and internal relationships and resolve AP issues in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting systems and workflows
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette and conflict de-escalation
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required)
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset
- Collaborative and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
