Position Overview
Minogi Corp. is seeking a Coordinator, Strategic Commercial Partnerships to support the development and execution of strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, funding initiatives, and economic development projects emerging from Canada’s rapidly evolving energy economy.
Working across the Lake Ontario Energy Corridor (LOEC) — a region extending from the Greater Toronto Area to Cornwall — the coordinator will play an important role in identifying, supporting, and advancing opportunities connected to Ontario’s energy transition and infrastructure growth.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Indigenous Nations, economic development corporations, government organizations, utilities, investors, developers, educational institutions, and industry partners to create meaningful economic opportunities that support Indigenous participation, Nation-building, and long-term prosperity.
This position is ideally suited for an individual who is passionate about Indigenous economic development, strategic partnerships, and clean energy opportunities and who enjoys building relationships, coordinating initiatives, and helping turn emerging opportunities into impactful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development
· Support the development and maintenance of strategic relationships with:
o First Nations and Indigenous economic development corporations
o Federal and provincial governments
o Utilities, system operators, and electrified transportation organizations
o Local Distribution Companies (LDCs)
o Nuclear, electricity, renewable natural gas (RNG), and clean energy developers
o Industry associations and economic development organizations
o Investors, financial institutions, colleges, and universities
· Coordinate meetings, engagement sessions, presentations, and partnership discussions.
· Assist in the preparation of partnership agreements, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), and collaborative initiatives.
· Maintain tracking tools to monitor partnership opportunities, stakeholder engagement, and business development activities.
· Support relationship management activities with key partners and stakeholders.
Business Development & Investment Support
· Research emerging commercial, investment, and partnership opportunities within Canada’s evolving energy sector.
· Identify opportunities for Indigenous participation, ownership, procurement, and joint ventures.
· Support the preparation of business cases, investment materials, presentations, and commercial proposals.
· Assist with investment attraction activities and strategic partnership development.
· Support advocacy initiatives focused on Indigenous participation and rights-holder-focused procurement opportunities.
· Coordinate research, information gathering, and due diligence activities for potential partnerships and investments.
· Support opportunities related to:
o Nuclear energy and nuclear supply chains, including SMRs, CANDU reactors, and isotopes
o Electricity generation, transmission, and grid modernization
o Electrified transportation initiatives
o Renewable natural gas (RNG) and low-carbon fuels
o Battery energy storage systems
o Clean technology and electrification initiatives
o Energy-related supply chain development
Funding & Grant Development
· Monitor and assess relevant federal, provincial, utility, and industry funding opportunities.
· Assist with the preparation of grant applications, funding proposals, and business cases.
· Coordinate supporting documentation and partner contributions.
· Track funding deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
· Support funding initiatives focused on:
o Clean electricity and energy transition
o Nuclear sector development
o Indigenous economic development
o Workforce development and training
o Infrastructure modernization
o Renewable natural gas and emissions reduction
o Innovation, commercialization, and supply chain growth
Lake Ontario Energy Corridor Development
The Coordinator will support initiatives advancing the growth of the Lake Ontario Energy Corridor (LOEC) from the GTA to Cornwall.
Responsibilities include:
· Supporting opportunities related to:
o Nuclear energy
o Electricity generation and transmission infrastructure
o Grid modernization
o Electrified transportation systems
o Local Distribution Companies (LDCs)
o Renewable natural gas
o Battery energy storage
o Advanced manufacturing
o Clean technology
o Energy supply chains
· Supporting collaboration among Indigenous Nations, municipalities, utilities, educational institutions, and private-sector organizations.
· Assisting with industry forums, conferences, engagement sessions, and partnership-building activities.
· Contributing to the development of the LOEC as a nationally significant hub for energy investment, innovation, and Indigenous economic participation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Postsecondary education in business, economics, Indigenous studies, public policy, economic development, community development, engineering, environmental studies, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, lived experience, and professional experience.
· 3–7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Indigenous economic development
o Business development
o Community economic development
o Strategic partnerships
o Government relations
o Grant writing and funding administration
o Project coordination
o Energy, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors
· Strong written communication, research, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with First Nations, Indigenous organizations, economic development corporations, or Indigenous-owned businesses.
· Familiarity with Ontario’s energy sector, including utilities, LDCs, nuclear energy, renewable energy, RNG, or infrastructure development.
· Experience preparing funding applications, partnership proposals, or business cases.
· Understanding of Indigenous participation in major projects and economic reconciliation initiatives.
· Experience engaging with government representatives, senior executives, industry partners, and community organizations.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
