As a member across the Digital Health & Redevelopment teams, the Senior Project Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for all IT infrastructure, systems, and integration related to the new Uxbridge Hospital construction project. Ideal candidates will bring a robust background in IT infrastructure development and proven experience managing technology workstreams within large-scale IT construction and facility build projects. Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, with a dotted line relationship to the Director of Capital Planning, Infrastructure & Facility Operations, this role leads complex project planning, procurement, infrastructure design, installation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
The Senior Project Manager will ensure foundational IT infrastructure, physical networks, and integrated systems are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards. Working collaboratively with internal partners, external vendors, general contractors, and redevelopment stakeholders, this role drives project success and alignment across all phases of the hospital’s physical and digital build.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Oversight
- Direct the planning, procurement, design, installation, commissioning, and opening readiness phases for foundational IT infrastructure, physical network builds, and system integration components.

Provide oversight for IT-related building systems (e.g., low-voltage cabling, server room/data center builds, AV, telecom, and physical security systems) throughout construction to ensure successful physical integration and commissioning.

Serve as the central point of contact for IT dependencies between the General Contractor, Infrastructure Ontario, architects, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers, third-party vendors, and internal Oak Valley Health teams.

Ensure alignment with Digital Health strategies and Redevelopment timelines, closely monitoring construction schedules to synchronize IT deliverables with physical site readiness.
Project Governance & Controls

Develop and maintain comprehensive project logs, including issues, risks, action items, decisions, queries, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation—particularly for critical-path items tied to construction milestones.

Maintain accurate and controlled project documentation, including IT infrastructure scope, construction schedules, capital budgets, service specifications, change requests, and technical requirements.

Facilitate project meetings, produce high‑quality meeting minutes, and drive follow‑up accountability among both technical and construction teams.

Track and report on project performance metrics (deliverables, schedule, cost, risks) on a bi‑weekly or monthly basis, emphasizing the alignment of IT budgets with overarching capital construction funds.

Prepare and distribute project dashboards, executive summaries, and status reports tailored for varied audiences, from IT leadership to construction steering committees.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

Coordinate complex project activities among a diverse set of stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and clarity in roles and responsibilities between IT engineering, clinical staff, and site construction crews.

Provide expert consultation regarding IT physical infrastructure and smart-building capabilities to redevelopment team members to support informed architectural and engineering decision-making.

Promote effective communication across clinical, non‑clinical, and external construction teams to ensure digital workflows are supported by the physical environment.
Professional Practice & Continuous Improvement

Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, emerging IT infrastructure technologies, smart-building construction standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

Support quality improvement initiatives across the redevelopment portfolio, ensuring IT construction methodologies are optimized and efficient.

Maintain relevant professional memberships (e.g., PMP, ITIL, BICSI) and pursue ongoing education related to healthcare IT and construction project management.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader project and organizational goals.
