East Side Mario’s is looking for Line Cooks for our East Gwillimbury location to join our happy family!

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about cooking, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out in the culinary world, if you have the drive to grow and a love for great food, we’d love to have you on our team!

What you will do:

Prepare and Cook: Follow recipes and menu guidelines to prepare delicious Italian-inspired meals, you’ll ensure every dish meets our standards.
Station Management: Own your designated cooking station (e.g., grill, sauté, pizza oven) and keep it clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift.
Collaborate: Work closely with your fellow line cooks, servers, and kitchen management to ensure smooth service, especially during peak hours.
Consistent Quality: Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are cooked to perfection, visually appealing, and served promptly. Consistency is key!
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in line with health and safety standards. Follow all safety protocols when handling kitchen equipment and food.
Inventory Management: Assist in receiving deliveries, stocking/ordering ingredients, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained for efficient service.
Adaptability: Be ready to take on daily specials, new menu items, or special guest requests.
Customer-Centered: Deliver excellent service by working quickly, efficiently, and always ensuring that the food you prepare is something to be proud of.

What we are looking for:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience, someone who has passion and a good work ethic.
Skills: Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and safe food handling procedures.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the kitchen.
Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the demands of our guests.
Passion for Food: A love for cooking and creating great food that keeps people coming back for more.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen.
Ability to handle multiple stations, including grill, sauté, and pizza oven.
