Schedule: Flexible working hours. We expect the sales representative to self-organize their schedule in such a way that optimizes closing of sales.

Forest Fence & Deck has for over 40 years been a premier destination for expert deck design and installation in the GTA. We also design and install fences, gazebos, and boardwalks and specialize in transforming outdoor spaces into stunning havens of relaxation and entertainment.
Our dedicated team of craftspeople work collaboratively with clients to bring their visions to life. Forest is entering a new phase and is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to help us grow!
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team as an independent contractor and on a 100% commission basis. The role includes responding to inbound inquiries, attending on-site visits, completing estimates/quotes and closing sales. The ideal candidate is a people person, enjoys the in-person sales process, and has experience in home renovation sales. You will be provided with high quality leads, and be rewarded for the leads that you close.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound sales leads (phone, email, app.), and schedule appointments.
- Attend appointments, develop rapport with clients and gather essential information to quote projects.
- Provide onsite estimates leveraging our proprietary deck and fence estimation software.
- Collaborate with Forest's design team to quote more complex projects.
- Create simple plan drawings using Sketchup when required.
- Follow up with potential customers in the pursuit of closing sales.
- Once sales have been made, instruct the operations team on project details to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
Requirements:
- Proactivity and a can-do attitude.
- 5+ years of residential renovation sales experience.
- Vehicle and driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of Ontario Residential Building Code as it pertains to outdoor structures is a plus.
- Experience with composite decks and fences is a plus (either in sales or as a builder).
- Ability to read technical plans and drawings from 3rd parties is a plus.
- Proficiency in SketchUp software and other relevant design tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is a plus.

Ability to Commute:
This role requires significant travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area, and the candidate is ideally located in central-north GTA (North York, Richmond HIl, Vaughan, Markham etc.).
The role will require semi-frequent travel to our offices either at 13554 Yonge Street, Richmond HIll, or 16600 Bayview Avenue, Newmarket.
