AC Studios is hiring reliable and enthusiastic photographers to join our minor sports tournament photography team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys photography, sports, working with people, and being part of a fast-paced event environment. You will photograph athletes in action during minor sports tournaments, capturing on-ice action and team photography.
AC Studios supplies all required photography equipment and gear. You do not need to own a professional camera or photography equipment to apply.
We have lots of work available throughout our busy season, which runs from September through the end of April.
Compensation
- $20–$30 per hour and more depending on longevity with the company
- Pay is based on experience, skills, and responsibilities
- All required photography equipment is supplied by AC Studios
Schedule and Availability
Applicants must have regular weekend availability:
- Fridays
- Saturdays
- Sundays
- September through the end of April
Tournament schedules and hours may vary from week to week. An average is 27.5 hours during Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Sunday being a shorter day sometimes to go home to your family early). This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent seasonal weekend work with plenty of opportunities available throughout the season.
Responsibilities
- Photograph athletes during live minor sports tournaments
- Capture clear, well-timed on-ice action photographs
- Take team photography as required during events
- Set up, use, and care for the photography equipment supplied by AC Studios
- Work efficiently in busy arenas and other sports venues
- Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, coaches, event organizers, and AC Studios team members
- Arrive on time and remain dependable throughout assigned shifts
- Represent AC Studios in a friendly and professional manner
What We’re Looking For
- Able drive within a 70KM or so radius from Newmarket, ON (Rough estimate)
- Available to work Fridays through Sundays during the season
- Able to drive and owns/has access to a vehicle
- Comfortable working in busy, fast-paced tournament environments
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and good timing
- Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with the public
- Willing to learn and apply AC Studios’ photography methods
- Dependable and punctual
