Full job description

Looking for individuals with a background in basic food prep skills (salads, sandwiches, serving) to help where needed, with cashier experience and able to learn our simple POS register.

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple facets of the food industry.

Duties

Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system to accurately process customer orders and payments.
Handle cash transactions with precision, providing correct change and managing cash handling procedures responsibly.
Serve customers efficiently with friendly service while upselling menu items when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas by following proper food handling and safety protocols.
Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks, ensuring food is prepared according to quality standards.
Manage order flow during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills to keep service smooth and efficient.

Qualifications

Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations ensures safe handling of ingredients.
Experience with cashiering systems is advantageous.
Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of sanitation practices and proper kitchen hygiene standards is highly desirable.
