Full job description

iGuard360° was established as a comprehensive security firm to meet the demands of clients seeking a dependable and forward-thinking security provider, offering enduring security solutions for both condominiums and retail store locations.

We are seeking Part-Time Retail Security Guards to work at our Retail store sites in Richmond Hill and Vaughn area. The guard will be responsible for safeguarding the property, company assets, employees, and customers while always acting in the best interests of the company. This role emphasizes ensuring safety and security while serving as a prominent deterrent to undesirable behavior and individuals.

What you will do:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers by way of customer service and physical presence.
Maintain positive, professional working relationships with clients and customers.
Identify and respond to suspicious activity in a professional manner.
Prevent theft of client’s products and merchandise within the store by maintaining surveillance of the site and its high-risk areas.
Provide access control as required.
Conduct regular foot patrols as required.
Enforce the Trespass to Property Act, Criminal Code of Canada, and other relevant legislation as it pertains to the property.
Respond to alarms, patrolling the site and securing premises as required by site post orders.
Complete detailed and comprehensive incident reports through our online reporting systems.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.

What you bring:

Keen sense of situational awareness
Access to a reliable Vehicle

Education / Experience:

3 years or more of Tactical Security experience is an asset
Additional industry-related training (e.g., Tactical Communication, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) is an asset, but not required
Completion of or enrollment in a Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration, or other relevant program is an asset, but not required

Special Certifications needed:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid CPR Certificate Level C

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour

Have you previously worked in a retail environment where you were responsible for theft prevention or access control?
Are you familiar with enforcing the Trespass to Property Act or the Criminal Code of Canada in a security setting?

Please share your full weekly availability, including any preferences for full-time, part-time, or on-call shifts:
Are you available and willing to accept shifts on short notice?
Are you able to commit to the schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM?
Are you able to commit to working Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM?

Tactical & or Retail Security: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

Security Guard Licence (required)
CPR Certification (required)
