Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire Uniform/ Tactical Security Guards in Toronto, Ontario for a variety of retail sites.

What you will do

Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise
Document theft and other security violations
Patrol the premises, provide access control, and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required

The Ideal Candidate

A Valid Security License
A keen interest in asset protection
Willing to stand/ patrol for the duration of the shift
Previous security experience in a retail environment
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
Ability to work without close supervision
Must be willing and comfortable to stop theft
Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters
Use of Force Certification
