Position: Taekwondo Coach (NOC 53201)
Salary: $38.46/hr - 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Education: University Degree (Taekwondo, Physical Education, or Martial Arts Related Major)
Credentials: Kukkiwon certified, 5th Dan Taekwondo
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Taekwondo Instructor
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement structured Taekwondo training programs across all major disciplines, including Poomsae, Kyorugi, Sibeom, and Gyeokpa, tailored to students of various ages, skill levels, and training objectives
- Prepare and coach students for local and regional competitions, demonstrations, and belt promotion examinations by developing individualized training plans and providing technical and strategic instruction
- Plan, administer, and evaluate belt promotion assessments in accordance with Kukkiwon standards, assessing students’ technical skills, physical conditioning, discipline, and overall performance
- Monitor and evaluate student progress on an ongoing basis, maintaining training records and adjusting instructional methods and programs to support continuous development and achievement of individual goals
- Organize and lead Taekwondo demonstration teams for school events and community showcases, coordinating choreography, team formations, and safety procedures
- Promote core Taekwondo values including discipline, respect, perseverance, and leadership while fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating training environment
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to assistant instructors and junior coaches to ensure consistent instructional quality and effective coaching practices across all program levels
Pay: $38.46 per hour

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
