Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AZ Dump Truck Driver to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and supporting various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment, construction site safety, and efficient transportation of materials. Candidates with experience in excavator, dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, water truck, horizontal drilling, tanker, and paving operations will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry, contributing to the successful completion of infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Safely operate AZ dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites and project locations
Load, transport, and unload materials
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and other machinery as needed
Support construction activities by coordinating with team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Maintain accurate logs of transportation activities and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Assist in other construction-related tasks such as site preparation or material handling when required

Qualifications

Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction setting or similar environment
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and tanker trucks
Experience with horizontal drilling and paving operations is a plus
Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations
Ability to operate additional heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment and grader operation tools
Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with various types of heavy equipment is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
