Full job description

Job Summary

Position Title: Tape Edge Operator
Environment: Manufacturing Facility. This role is under the Union Agreement with the company.
Location: Scarborough
Shifts: 8 Hours (day and afternoon shifts available)
Days: Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: $ 17.60/hour to start, rate increase after probation, including incentive pay
Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

Operate sewing machine, corrects any defective taping on mattress.
Make any necessary sewing machine adjustments and handle basic maintenance of machine.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean orderly condition.
Ensure quality standards are maintained.
Observe and obey all safety rules, regulations and practices.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

1-2 years related work experience.
Experience working in busy setting warehouse.
Demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions in English.
Excellent eye and hand coordination.
Strong team player but can work independently
Reliable and punctual.
Able to stand for long periods of time
