We welcome applications for part-time professors (Fall term). Course assignments are based on scheduling needs, with contracts typically up to 6 hours per week. Day time on-campus availability is preferred. Responsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. You will…

Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques.
Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students.
Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips.
Evaluate student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned course

Courses

Law, Ethics and Social Responsibility in Software Development (BTE620)
Covers legal, ethical, and societal impacts of technology, including AI governance, privacy, and cybersecurity.
AI for Software Developers (DPS970)
Focuses on foundational and applied AI concepts such as intelligent systems, algorithms, and real-world applications.

What You Bring to Seneca

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering]); a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred

Experience

Post-secondary teaching and/or strong industry experience
Background in AI, software development, or inclusive technology
Ability to connect theory with real-world application
Experience with applied learning and case-based instruction
