Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
Assist with food handling and ensure proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes, making adjustments as necessary.
Follow all food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in a food service or restaurant environment, preferably as a cook or line cook.
Strong knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
