Full job description

Drake International is hiring Certified and Experienced Reach Truck and Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift Operators for our client in the Ajax area.

Location: Ajax ON L1Z 0K4
Pay rate: $ 21/hr. depending on experience
Shifts: Schedule: 5 days per week – 8 AM to 4 PM (ongoing assignment)
Weekend availability is mandatory, please note that all schedules must include Saturday and Sunday.
Start Date – ASAP on an ongoing basis.

The Role:
As a Forklift Operator- Material Handler you will be responsible for managing the movement of materials within our facility, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.

Operate a Reach Truck and Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift Operation experience according to instructions provided.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
Move products and materials to designated warehouse locations.
Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
Keep warehouse aisles, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and workplace regulations.
Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

What You’ll Bring

2+ years Reach Truck (Cat Reach, Hangcha Reach and Toyota) and Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift Operation material handling experience.
Must have valid forklift certification.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must have experience in Loading of materials and merchandise onto the trailers.
Must have experience using Material handling equipment (MHE)
Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
Build pallets and prepare shipments for delivery.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Must have a clear Crim check.
