Full job description

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Accountant to assist with our full cycle accounting and month end process. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, account reconciliations and strong Excel skills.

This is a great opportunity to join a great team within a growing group of companies in the construction industry, reporting to the Controller and working with the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare regular bookkeeping entries across a group of companies.
Prepare month end journal entries
Prepare account reconciliations
Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Bookkeeper/Accountant for 5+ years
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience in real estate or construction is an asset
Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal staff
Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
