We are hiring a Litho Press Feeder for our Pickering location. This job posting is intended to fill an existing vacancy within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Prepare loads for press by unwrapping them
Watch for damaged sheets in loads with fork marks, folded sheets, etc
Review docket information to ensure proper job is produced
Ensure proper inks are brought to the press and place inks in proper ink fountain
Set-up feed and feed table to ensure smooth delivery into press throughout the production run
Maintain water levels, conductivity & PH, in chiller tanks
Ensure there is sufficient coating in coating tote
Check viscosity of new drums/totes when opened
Wash-up press and change blankets when required
Hang printing plates and coating plate to achieve proper registration
Clean printing plates and blankets as required
Assist crew in troubleshooting press to help reduce downtime & inefficiencies
Assist in the training of fellow crew members
Maintain & adhere to safety standards (including P.P.E. requirements)
Assist in performing scheduled press approvals
Perform scheduled maintenance/ repairs when required & record in Maintenance Log Book
Perform other tasks as required
Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction

Qualifications:

Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in a Printing Department, specifically off-set Litho is preferred
Technical knowledge of Lithographic process and machines is preferred
Must be able to lift a minimum 30-50 lbs safely and effectively
Detailed eye for colour
Attention to detail
Ability to work individually or in a team environment
