Job Description: Accounts Payable Administrator (Part-Time)

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time (2–3 Days per Week)
Schedule: Flexible days and hours to accommodate both the successful candidate and business needs.
Reports To: Owner

Position Summary

Cedar Ridge Designs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle while supporting the finance team with reconciliations, record keeping, and administrative accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and experience using QuickBooks Online.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable

Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices where applicable.
Verify coding and approvals prior to processing payments.
Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
Maintain vendor records and respond to supplier inquiries.
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
Process employee expense reimbursements.
Monitor payment deadlines to ensure invoices are paid according to terms.

Accounting Support

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Support the preparation of reports for management.
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
Assist with audit requests and documentation when required.
Support continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Administrative Duties

Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Assist with general office administration as required.
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

Minimum three (3) years of recent Accounts Payable experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience using QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record keeping.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience working in construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
Knowledge of HST and Canadian accounting practices.

Opportunity for additional hours during month-end, year-end, or peak business periods.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
