Luff Industries is currently accepting resumes for Journeyman Welders and Experienced 3rd‑Year Welding Apprentices to join our growing manufacturing team.

For over 40 years, Luff Industries has been an industry‑leading manufacturer of high‑quality conveyor components. We are recognized for innovative products, quick turnaround times, and an industry‑leading warranty. Luff conveyor components are used in a wide range of heavy industrial material‑handling applications worldwide and represent one of the most complete product lines available to enhance conveyor system performance.

The Job

Welders are a key part of our production team and play a critical role in the fabrication of parts and components used in our products and for our customers.

Your Work Will Include:

Following all safety rules and procedures, with a strong focus on maintaining a positive and proactive safety culture
Following documented Quality Work Procedures (QWPs) to ensure products meet established standards
Joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques
Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics
Assisting with installation, repair, and maintenance work using acetylene and/or electric arc welding equipment
Supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives as required
Working with the Quality team on projects including research and development, product autopsies, and quality documentation
Communicating quality concerns and helping educate team members when defects are identified to prevent recurrence
Performing other duties as required to support the success of the business

Who We Are Looking For

Applicants will bring the following education, skills, and experience:

Journeyman Welder, or Registered 3rd‑Year Welding Apprentice with strong hands‑on experience
Proficiency in welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
Experience fabricating metal structures and components to specification
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of metalworking processes
Experience operating press brake machines for bending and shaping metal
Ability to perform basic math for measurements and dimensions
Experience safely rigging and handling materials using cranes
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or experience working in an ISO‑certified environment
