GSE Technician – Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport ( YUL)

Positions Available: Apprentice & Lead Technician
Location: Montreal, QC (YUL Airport)

About the Role

Aviation GSE is expanding our maintenance team at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport! We’re hiring two key roles under this posting:

Apprentice GSE Technician – Entry-level opportunity with full training provided.
Lead GSE Technician – Experienced position with supervisory and mentoring responsibilities.

If you’re passionate about keeping ground support equipment (GSE) running safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on a wide range of airport ground support equipment.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment diagnostics.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with electricians, welders, and paint/body teams to complete full-service repairs.
Lead Technicians:
Supervise apprentices and junior team members.
Assign work orders and ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Provide mentorship and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Apprentice GSE Technician:

Basic mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in hands-on technical work.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
Safety-conscious and dependable.

Lead GSE Technician:

Minimum 5 years of experience in GSE, heavy equipment, or automotive repair.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Leadership or supervisory experience is a strong asset.
Must be adaptable to shift work and outdoor working conditions.

Nous recrutons pour deux postes clés sous cette offre :

Apprenti technicien GSE – Poste d’entrée avec formation complète fournie.
Technicien principal GSE – Poste expérimenté avec responsabilités de supervision et de mentorat.

Si vous êtes passionné par l’entretien et la performance sécuritaire de l’équipement de soutien au sol (GSE), nous voulons vous rencontrer.

Responsabilités

Inspecter, entretenir et réparer les systèmes mécaniques, hydrauliques et pneumatiques d’une vaste gamme d’équipements de soutien au sol aéroportuaire.
Effectuer la maintenance préventive planifiée et les diagnostics d’équipement.
Dépanner et résoudre efficacement les problèmes afin de minimiser les temps d’arrêt.
Collaborer avec les électriciens, soudeurs et équipes de carrosserie/peinture pour réaliser des réparations complètes.

Technicien principal :

Superviser les apprentis et les membres juniors de l’équipe.
Attribuer les bons de travail et veiller à ce que toutes les réparations respectent les normes de sécurité et de qualité.
Fournir du mentorat et promouvoir une culture de sécurité et de travail d’équipe.

Qualifications

Apprenti technicien GSE :

Aptitude mécanique de base et grand intérêt pour le travail technique pratique.
Attitude positive et volonté d’apprendre par la formation en cours d’emploi.
Sens de la sécurité et fiabilité.

Technicien principal GSE :

Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en GSE, machinerie lourde ou réparation automobile.
Capacité démontrée à diagnostiquer et réparer des systèmes mécaniques et hydrauliques complexes.
Expérience en leadership ou en supervision est un atout important.
Doit être capable de s’adapter aux quarts de travail et aux conditions extérieures.
