We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Developer who understands how AI solutions actually move from an idea into real operational use.
This role for someone who knows how to turn business needs, company data, existing software, and emerging AI capabilities into reliable systems. You should be comfortable making architecture decisions, working through uncertainty, identifying technical risks, and building complete solutions from zero.
You will work directly with leadership and our software team to identify the strongest opportunities, connect large language models with company data and existing tools, and take solutions from concept through deployment. You will focus on our training division (TrueTraining.ca).

THE QUICK SUMMARY
Your goal is to turn Talos’s strongest AI opportunities into secure, reliable systems that can be used in real operations. The initial priority will be building capability in four core areas:
- Connecting large language models with company data and existing software
- Building AI agents and automated workflows
- Developing the applications, databases, APIs, and integrations that support these solutions
- Establishing strong standards for accuracy, security, testing, and deployment
You will help determine where Talos should use AI, which opportunities offer real business value, what architecture is required, and which tools are worth adopting.
The goal is simple: leadership should be able to rely on you to take an AI opportunity, make the right technical decisions, and deliver a working system.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
You will own the technical development process from opportunity assessment and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and improvement. This includes:
- Translating business problems into clear technical requirements and success measures
- Designing complete AI systems and technical architecture
- Integrating large language models with company data, APIs, and existing software
- Building AI agents and automated workflows with appropriate controls
- Developing the front end, back end, databases, APIs, integrations, and deployment processes
- Working within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Azure Functions, and Azure AI
- Designing data models and working with relational databases using SQL
- Selecting models, tools, and services based on accuracy, cost, speed, security, and maintainability
- Creating testing and evaluation processes for AI generated results
- Identifying inaccurate, inconsistent, or unreliable outputs and improving system performance
- Implementing security, privacy, access controls, logging, and monitoring
- Planning for failures, human review, and situations where the system should not act independently
- Identifying technical risks and clearly explaining the available options and tradeoffs
- Coordinating with leadership, the software team, and internal users throughout development
- Documenting architecture, code, integrations, and operating procedures
- Maintaining and improving systems after deployment
- Evaluating new AI technologies and determining whether they provide real value
This role requires experimentation, but the standard is higher than producing promising demonstrations.
You are expected to understand the business problem, data requirements, technical risks, and long term maintenance behind every solution you build.

- Full stack software development experience
- Experience with front end development, back end development, databases, APIs, deployment, and integrations
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or a similar cloud environment
- Experience designing and working with relational databases using SQL
- Experience building AI agents or automated workflows
- The ability to evaluate and improve the accuracy of AI generated results
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with JavaScript, Azure Functions, Azure AI, and Model Context Protocol would be valuable. However, we care more about your ability to learn quickly and build complete systems than experience with one specific programming language.

SHORT TERM EXPECTATIONS
During your first 90 days, you will learn Talos’s existing software, data, tools, security requirements, development processes, and business priorities. You will assess the current technical environment, identify gaps, meet with leadership and internal teams, and determine which AI opportunities offer the strongest combination of value, feasibility, and manageable risk.
You will begin designing and building the first priority solution, including the architecture, data connections, integrations, security controls, evaluation process, and required software components. You will test the solution with real company data, gather feedback from users, improve its accuracy and reliability, and prepare it for operational use.
By the end of 90 days, Talos should have a priority AI solution built, tested, connected to real systems, and moving into controlled operational use. The company should also have clearer technical standards, documented risks, and a practical roadmap for what to build next. Leadership should be able to rely on you to evaluate AI opportunities, make strong technical decisions, and turn the right ideas into reliable software.
