Carpenter / Labourer / Apprentice
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our construction team as a Carpenter, Labourer, or Apprentice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in various aspects of construction and woodworking projects. The position involves working on diverse projects, from framing and to cabinetry and restoration, providing valuable experience in the building industry.
Duties
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Install cabinets, flooring, tile, siding, roofing, and perform general carpentry tasks including framing and woodwork.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct construction painting, caulking, and finishing work to meet project specifications.
- Support demolition, restoration projects, and site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required throughout various stages of construction projects.
- Follow safety protocols at all times and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction trades such as carpentry, or drywall is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and schematics is a plus.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and construction estimating is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn new skills on the job.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Basic handyman experience or related skills such as plumbing or electrical work are beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license is a must for job site travel.
- Must be reliable with a strong commitment to safety standards and teamwork. Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
