Administrative Assistant – Part-Time / Temporary Full-Time

Mackenzie Electrical is seeking an organized, dependable, and professional Administrative Assistant to join our office team.

This position will initially be part-time for the remainder of 2026, with the successful candidate transitioning to a temporary full-time position beginning in January 2027.

Schedule:

October–December 2026: Part-time
Beginning January 2027: Temporary full-time
Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy office environment, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent service to customers and supporting our field and office staff..

Qualifications:

Office Administration experience required
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Accounting knowledge and experience as asset
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong Attention to detail
Very Strong Organizational Skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Time Management Skills
Ability to Multitask
Office Administration Certificate considered an asset

Job Description:

Answering phone calls, email, inquires
Filing
Assist with Scheduling
Type/ prepare correspondence and estimates
Participate in company safety program
Invoicing clients and manage special project billings

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Sydney, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
