The Team
The Supply Services team supports ministries, Crown corporations, and other public sector organizations by delivering a wide range of services, including supply chain management, mail and printing services, digital document processing, warehousing, and surplus asset disposal. The team works collaboratively to improve processes, modernize services, and create efficiencies that help government partners better serve people across British Columbia.
The Role
As a Postal Clerk, you will be part of a collaborative team that supports the delivery and processing of mail and related services. Depending on operational needs, you may perform a variety of tasks, including operating a delivery vehicle, walking delivery routes, sorting and processing mail, completing shipping and receiving activities, and using scanning and digital imaging technology. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Experience providing customer service.
- Experience in keyboarding/data entry, word processing, creating spreadsheets and working with standard computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience using operating equipment such as hand and power pallet jacks, electric forklifts, delivery vehicles, mailing machines and electronic scales.
- Experience using personal computers, multifunctional devices (MFD), handheld scanners and high-speed production scanners.
