Full job description

PMCL has been in business since 1964 and has had very successful years in Industrial Concrete Construction in the Oil and Gas Industry. We are looking for an experienced, professional, and positive individual to add to our team. The Field Superintendent will have the ability to take a crew into the field and complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a crew of concrete workers and formwork carpenters. As well as knowledge of formwork construction, concrete mix design, placement, and finishing. They will be responsible for ensuring that all concrete construction work is performed in accordance with company standards and specifications, as well as client requirements. The Field Superintendent will also be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

We are looking for a long-term employee for this position. The majority of our work is remote industrial projects and the individual would be expected to work shift work. When / if there is downtime between projects, the individual will have the opportunity to work in the shop.

Responsibilities

Ensure construction is completed in compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance
Have an understanding of Health and Safety Plans, and all applicable legislation
Review and understand project schedules
Coordinate and schedule project subtrades
Serve as liaison with project management reporting on inspections, safety, subcontracting, & progress
Participate in project meetings and facilitate regularly scheduled meetings
Support integration of project data
Interpret and understand drawings and designs
Tracks RFIs, site drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents
Complete QC Documentation and maintain records for project turnover
Proactively identify and work to resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery
Provides technical knowledge and input to train and assist Carpenters/ Carpenter Helpers
Must be able to work shift work for the duration of the project
Track and manage timesheets, daily reports and safety documents, review FLHAs
Effectively coordinate and communicate tasks and goals to site Client Representatives

Requirements

Have at least 5 years of in-depth industrial concrete construction knowledge in the role of Supervisor or Foreman
Experience managing demanding deadline expectations while upholding quality work
Have a demonstrated ability to interact with clients & team members in an efficient, professional manner
Ability to organize and effectively execute projects to completion
Possess a valid Driver's License
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
Willingness to assist Carpenters in their role
Good physical condition and stamina.
Poses current Standard certificates as CSTS, WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid, LSE, and any relevant trade certificates
Must be able to work shift work for the duration of the project
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects
