Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE/RECE Childcare Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for supporting children's development. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, especially when working with diverse populations or individuals with disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to families and team members
Maintain accurate records of children's activities, health, and developmental milestones
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a supportive educational experience
Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans and accommodations
Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met within the classroom setting
Use computer skills to document observations, prepare reports, and manage administrative tasks efficiently
Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding new staff or interns as needed
Manage time effectively to balance classroom responsibilities with administrative duties

Experience

Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or related settings is preferred
Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is advantageous
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse communities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with children, families, and team members
Familiarity with computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds enhances the ability to create an inclusive learning environment
