About the role:
We're actively seeking for a Welder. The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to maintain, repair, and modify mobile mining equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Working closely with the maintenance team, this role supports continuous improvement in asset performance while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities:

Perform structural welding repairs and fabrication on mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, dozers, and drilling rigs.

Use a variety of welding and cutting processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and oxy-acetylene) to complete high-quality repairs and modifications.

Inspect equipment components for cracks, wear, and structural deficiencies, and complete timely, effective repairs.

Repair and rebuild high-wear components including buckets, blades, truck boxes, undercarriage elements, and Ground Engaging Tools (GET).

Ensure all welding work meets Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards, OEM specifications, and site quality requirements.

Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including proper PPE use, lockout/tagout practices, and fire hazard prevention.

Complete field welding repairs safely and efficiently while supporting maintenance schedules and minimizing equipment downtime.

Work collaboratively with maintenance teams, sharing welding expertise, assisting with troubleshooting, and supporting operational reliability.
