Le directeur ou la directrice Qualité de l’usine est responsable de diriger et de superviser le développement, la mise en œuvre et l’amélioration des processus et systèmes d’assurance qualité afin de garantir que les produits répondent aux plus hauts standards de qualité, de salubrité alimentaire et de conformité réglementaire. Cette personne assure la gestion d’une équipe, veille à la satisfaction des clients et à la conformité des produits, pilote les initiatives d’amélioration continue, gère le budget de la qualité et collabore étroitement avec les différents départements pour promouvoir une culture d’excellence en matière de qualité.

Responsabilités principales:

Superviser le développement, la mise en œuvre et le maintien des politiques et procédures d’assurance qualité au sein de l’usine.
Assurer la réalisation d’audits et d’inspections réguliers afin de garantir le respect des normes de qualité et des exigences réglementaires.
Superviser les processus de contrôle qualité durant la production et l’emballage afin de détecter les défauts et les écarts.
Veiller à l’application rigoureuse et en temps opportun du processus de libération des produits.
Collaborer avec les équipes de développement de produits, de production et de chaîne d’approvisionnement pour résoudre les enjeux liés à la qualité.
Diriger les analyses des causes fondamentales et les plans d’actions correctives visant l’amélioration de la qualité des produits.
Favoriser une culture d’amélioration continue et d’excellence qualité.
Former, encadrer et soutenir les membres de l’équipe dans les pratiques et outils d’assurance qualité.
Assurer la gestion de la performance qualité et l’établissement des objectifs associés.
Contribuer au développement des talents par le mentorat, le coaching et la gestion de la relève.
Suivre, analyser et communiquer les principaux indicateurs de performance qualité.
Maintenir une connaissance à jour des tendances de l’industrie, des changements réglementaires et des meilleures pratiques en assurance qualité.
Participer aux revues de développement de produits afin d’intégrer les exigences qualité dès les premières étapes du processus.
Participer à l’élaboration du budget afin de s’assurer que les besoins liés à la qualité et à la salubrité alimentaire sont clairement définis et pris en compte.

Profil recherché :

Baccalauréat en qualité, salubrité alimentaire, microbiologie, sciences des aliments ou dans un domaine connexe.
Plus de 7 à 10 ans d’expérience en sciences des aliments, chimie, biologie, microbiologie ou dans un domaine technique pertinent.
Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en qualité alimentaire et/ou en salubrité alimentaire, incluant idéalement de l’expérience en audit dans l’industrie alimentaire.
Certification PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual).
Certification Lean Six Sigma ceinture noire ou expérience en gestion de la qualité totale (TQM), un atout.
Expérience avec SAP, un atout.
Excellente maîtrise des principes de qualité et de salubrité alimentaire, notamment HACCP, les bonnes pratiques de fabrication (BPF), la surveillance environnementale des pathogènes ainsi que la conception d’installations et d’équipements.
Expérience en conception et en mise en œuvre de programmes HACCP.
Certification ou expérience reconnue par la Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), un atout.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et orale, en analyse, en leadership et en collaboration.
Maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint et SAP.
Français requis; anglais professionnel pour interagir avec les équipes corporatives.

About the Role:

The Plant Quality Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and systems to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This role includes managing a team, driving customer satisfaction and compliance, leading continuous improvement initiatives, managing the quality budget, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities include :

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance policies and procedures within the facility.
Ensure regular audits and inspections are conducted to maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee quality control processes throughout production and packaging to identify defects and deviations.
Ensure a robust and timely product release process is consistently followed.
Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to enhance product quality.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Train, mentor, and coach team members on quality assurance tools and best practices.
Manage quality performance and establish performance objectives and targets.
Support talent development through mentoring, coaching, and succession planning.
Monitor, analyze, and report key quality metrics and performance indicators.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and quality assurance best practices.
Participate in product development reviews to ensure quality requirements are integrated from the earliest stages.
Contribute to the budgeting process to ensure quality and food safety requirements are clearly defined and supported.

About you:

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Food Safety, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
7–10+ years of experience in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related technical field.
10+ years of experience in Food Quality and/or Food Safety, preferably including food industry auditing.
PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Total Quality Management (TQM) experience preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Strong technical expertise in quality and food safety systems, including HACCP, GMP, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, and Facility/Equipment Design.
Experience designing and implementing HACCP certification programs.
Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) practitioner or certified auditor designation preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
French required; professional English proficiency needed to interact with corporate teams.
