The Northern New Brunswick Forestry Operations Division is seeking to fill a position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Truck and Transport with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities, including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventive maintenance,
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance of equipment
Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Follow all established safety policies and standards, including proper identification, use and procedures for handling or disposing of hazardous waste.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required Education: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Diploma
Years of experience required : 2 to 5 years
A Red Seal is considered an asset, but not required. Candidates with a mechanic block 1, 2 or 3 will be considered
Experience in welding and repairing forestry equipment considered an asset
Must be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be autonomous and detail-oriented.
Analytical and problem solving skills
Being bilingual is asset.
