Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Account Manager to join our team.
Territory Account Manager
The Territory Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing customer relationships within an assigned geographic territory. This position combines account management with proactive business development and is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and increasing market presence.
The successful candidate will spend significant time in the field calling on existing and prospective customers, identifying customer needs, promoting company products and services, and developing new sales opportunities. The Account Manager will act as a key point of contact between customers and the Company while working collaboratively with i the Branch Manager, internal sales and operations, to ensure a high level of customer service and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development and Territory Growth
- Actively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on increasing market share and revenue.
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits, prospecting activities, and sales calls.
- Research and identify potential customers, projects, and market opportunities.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers, purchasing personnel, operations personnel, and other customer contacts.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and market intelligence.
- Promote the Company's products, services, and capabilities to prospective customers.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, quotations, and other sales materials as required.
- Monitor market conditions, customer activity, and competitor activity and communicate relevant information to management.
Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct regular account reviews and customer visits to identify opportunities for additional products and services.
- Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate appropriate internal resources to address customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen the Company's relationship with existing accounts.
- Follow up on quotations, proposals, and outstanding sales opportunities.
- Assist customers in resolving product, service, delivery, or other concerns in collaboration with internal departments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of customer operations and requirements.
Sales and Reporting
- Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and new business development objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, sales opportunities, quotations, and account information.
- Provide regular territory activity reports and sales forecasts to management.
- Maintain and manage opportunities through the Company's CRM or sales tracking system.
- Participate in sales meetings, strategic planning, and territory reviews.
- Monitor progress against sales targets and adjust activities as necessary to achieve objectives.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Inside Sales, Operations, Production, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving, and other internal departments to support customer requirements.
- Communicate customer forecasts, upcoming projects, and anticipated requirements to internal teams.
- Assist in coordinating product availability, delivery requirements, and customer expectations.
- Provide market and customer feedback to support product development, inventory planning, and business strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in outside sales, account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow assigned sales territory.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while travelling throughout an assigned territory.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Experience within the oil and gas, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or related industry would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Working Conditions
This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned geographic territory and frequent visits to customer locations, job sites, and industry events. The Account Manager must be comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining regular communication with internal teams and management.

Education:
