Reporting to the Shift Supervisor/Lead Blender, this role is responsible for assisting in the production of Fluid’s products for packaging. The Blender will be responsible for all aspects of the bulk blending process including mixing the product per the batch sheets, filling totes, and loading/unloading chemical trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of blending Fluid Energy products as per blend instructions under the supervision of the lead blender.
- Responsible for maintaining Fluid Energy standards for the movement of materials within the operating area.
- Load and unload chemical trucks.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance.
- Ensure equipment and materials are utilized efficiently and maintain consistent communication with the operations team.
- Responsible for reporting any equipment malfunction to the Lead Blender.
- Attend safety meetings, reviews and reporting activities as required.
- Effectively communicate with all employees to ensure they are always working safely and communicating to minimize any unnecessary risks.
- Ensure all manufacturing objectives are met efficiently and safely.
- Establish and maintain complete confidentiality and security in and around our facilities at all times, and establish and follow procedures as required.
- Maintain all appropriate documentation, safety and ISO Certifications and employee training as required for your area of responsibility.
- Attend daily and weekly operations meetings as required.
- Report immediately any operational or HSE issues to the Lead Blender or HSE Coordinator.
- Report all incidents or near misses to HSE Coordinator.
- Ensure safe, cleanliness and hygiene practices and conditions are maintained at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about chemical production processes (physical and chemical properties of raw materials and products).
- Comfortable operating piping manifolds, and pumps and transferring product to storage tanks.
- Ability to understand and track safety, quality and productivity data, including run rates, fill weights, and averages.
- Able to understand the equipment and production processes.
- Flexibility to work with and provide support for various company employees and departments.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues from all parts of the organization, and with external entities.
- Time management skills to keep ahead of administrative tasks in various areas.

Experience/Education
- Experience in a related role and industry is considered an asset.
- High School Diploma.
- First Aid, CPR & H2S certifications are considered an asset.
- TDG and WHMIS certification is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Available to work Sun – Tues or Tues to Sat.
- Overtime and being on-call may be required.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
- Ability to work in varied environments and conditions.
- Must be able to pass a mask fit test.
