Full job description

Job description – Site Superintendent

Qualified candidates within Canada

Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control the site aspect of construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
Collaborate with Project Managers, clients and other management personnel when determining budgets and timelines
Oversee day-to-day field activities, supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
Manage quality control plan including scheduling testing & inspections as required
Conduct subtrade site orientations and safety meetings, ensure all personnel on site are adhering to the SWDC corporate safety program
Attend project site meetings with the owner/client, SWDC project team, consultants, & sub-trades as required
Coordinate deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors
Maintain a daily log of construction site operations including overall construction progress, on site trade presence, weather & design delays, identify any gaps or areas that need to be addressed
Implement techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective
Follow all company policies & safety guidelines
Excellent communication skills
Thorough understanding of budgeting best practices in construction projects
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Understanding of construction equipment use, maintenance, and operation
Comprehensive understanding of local, provincial, and federal construction regulations
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Time management and delegation skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
Experience in civil and building construction will be considered an asset
Must have minimum: o Preferred at least 10 years experience as a site superintendent o Standard first aid o Leadership in Safety Excellence
Any other training or tickets for fall arrest, aerial platform, WHMIS, H2S, etc. will be considered an asset
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
