Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Removable Denture Technician to join our dental laboratory team. The primary responsibility of this role is the fabrication, inspection, and adjustment of high-quality removable dental prostheses, including partial and complete dentures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all technical aspects of denture construction, committed to meeting quality standards and production deadlines, and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Production: Skillfully perform all technical procedures involved in the creation of removable dentures. This includes model preparation, waxing, teeth setup, flasking, boiling out, packing, polymerization (curing), deflasking, and finishing/polishing.
Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct a thorough inspection of each removable denture case upon receipt and upon completion at each stage of the manufacturing process. Ensure that all products meet the precise specifications provided by the dentist and adhere to the laboratory's strict quality standards.
Adjustment and Modification: Expertly adjust, repair, and modify dentures based on feedback from the dentist or as required to achieve optimal fit, function, and aesthetics. This includes occlusal adjustments, relining, and rebasing.
Time Management: Effectively manage your workflow to complete all assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met without compromising on quality.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain clear and professional communication with team members, including other technicians and department managers. Discuss cases, share technical insights, and collaborate to solve problems effectively.
Work Content / Daily Duties:
Interpret work orders and prescriptions from dentists accurately.
Examine dental impressions and models to identify any potential issues.
Set up denture teeth to create a natural and functional occlusion and aesthetic appearance.
Process dentures using acrylic resins and other materials.
Finishing and polishing dentures to a high luster and comfortable fit.
Carefully inspect final products for defects, accuracy, and quality before sending them to the clinic.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Calibrate and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Removable Denture Technician in a dental laboratory.
In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, materials (e.g., acrylic resins, alloys), and laboratory procedures.
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills.
