Atypia Holdings, AMP, and Ravines Medical Group are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant & Financial Operations Lead to support a diverse portfolio of businesses including commercial real estate, pharmacy operations, and healthcare services.

Reporting to Ownership and Senior Management, the Senior Accountant & Financial Operations Lead will oversee a broad range of accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial support functions while helping drive operational efficiency and accountability across multiple organizations.
About the Role
The Senior Accountant & Financial Operations Lead plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, managing tenant accounting and lease-related billing, preparing government filings, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting business operations through meaningful financial analysis and process improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with ownership, management teams, external accountants, banking partners, and government agencies while helping ensure strong financial controls and reporting accuracy across all organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Real Estate Accounting – Atypia Holdings
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Tenant Accounting
- Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized accounting and financial records, including tenant billing and lease documentation.
- Maintain rent roll information and tenant accounting records.
- Communicate professionally with tenants regarding billing, payments, lease charges, and account inquiries.
Reconciliations, Month-End & Financial Reporting
- Complete monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Produce monthly financial reports and supporting analyses.
- Support year-end accounting procedures, account analysis, and working paper preparation.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors to provide required documentation.
Lease Administration, CAM & Compliance
- Calculate and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and other tenant recoverable costs in accordance with lease agreements.
- Prepare quarterly HST filings.
- Calculate annual expense allocation percentages across multiple properties.
- Support budgeting, lease reviews, tenant billings, ownership reporting, and property-level financial analysis.
- Act as a primary contact for CRA-related accounting and compliance matters.
AMP Pharmacy Reporting & Financial Support
- Prepare bi-weekly Sales Per Labour Hour (SPLH) reports for pharmacy and front store operations.
- Complete monthly comparative statistics reporting across multiple pharmacy locations.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy leadership to enhance reporting accuracy and operational insights.
- Complete monthly and annual Statistics Canada reporting requirements.
- Provide financial reporting and analytical support to owners, senior managers, and operational leaders.
Ravines Medical Group Support
- Serve as payroll backup support when required.
- Approve authorized bank payments and transfers.
- Complete quarterly HST remittances.
- Support accounting, administrative, and special project initiatives as required.
Financial Operations Leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and financial policies.
- Assist ownership and senior management with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
- Help create accountability and consistency within administrative and accounting functions.
- Participate in strategic projects and business initiatives across all organizations.
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll processes, HST, CRA remittances, and internal controls.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a multi-company environment.
Preferred
- CPA designation, CPA candidate, CMA, or equivalent senior accounting experience.
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working with multiple companies, business units, or locations.
- Experience with Sage accounting software.
- Experience in commercial real estate accounting, lease administration, or tenant billing.

Position Type: Full-Time
