As we continue to expand our presence in Nova Scotia, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our Personal Injury Division.
Position Overview
This full-time role is integral to the success of our litigation team. You will assume responsibility for file management from intake through resolution, while providing comprehensive administrative and litigation support and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage files from opening through to closing
- Maintain and organize electronic filing systems to ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Review incoming correspondence and draft responses
- Prepare and file pleadings, affidavits, Notices of Civil Claim, Notices to Produce, Orders, and other legal documents
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of accident benefits and other legal documents
- Schedule appointments, examinations, mediations, case planning conferences, applications, and trials
- Maintain lawyer calendars, bring-forward systems, and court diaries
- Assist in preparation for questionings, mediations, and trials, including organizing documents and coordinating logistics
- Manage records production, undertakings lists, and follow-ups
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, and other parties
- Handle incoming client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Legal Assistant or Paralegal studies (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a law firm environment (Personal Injury and/or litigation experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of court rules and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and strong proofreading abilities
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional client service
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience working as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant is considered a strong asset.
