About Our Client
Our customer is a chemical manufacturer in the Milton area with divisions throughout Canada. They are looking for some additional Accounting support.
What You Will Be Doing as an Accounts Payable Specialist
Reporting to the Group Leader of the department, the Accounts Payable Specialist
plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate invoice posting through effective
processes. The Specialist is also responsible for managing the expense report process
in SAP Concur.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Verify, code and match invoices and post into the ERP
- Obtain all required invoice approval
- Coordinate month-end close tasks including accruals, accounts reconciliationsand preparation of AP aging report and related analysis
- Foster strong relationships with Procurement and Operations departments to resolve invoice issues and get approval
- Manage expense report process via SAP Concur ensuring it complies with internal policies and procedures
- Super-user for the accounts payable module in Infor XA
- Support the Group Leader of Accounts Payable in projects oriented towards process improvements
- Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as defined
What You Should Have, as an Accounts Payable Specialist :
- A bachelor’s in commerce, a college diploma in accounting (DEC) or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the full cycle of accounts payable
- Detailed-oriented
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with an ERP and demonstrate an ease to learn and adapt to new
- ERP environment
- Experience with SAP Concur an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including advanced skills in Excel
- Bilingual in French and English
In Return, You Will Receive:
· Pay is $30/hour

- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am to 4:30pm
