We are on the hunt for our next Magnolia & Oak Sales Associate!
I am looking for a responsible individual with a great personality, a love of getting to know people, flexible availability, and a high level of knowledge and love of fashion!
Candidates must have prior retail experience in clothing/fashion, and a proven track record of being able to sell and exceed sales targets. You must be able work weekends including Sundays, with a guarantee of at least 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday off per month (you will almost always get more, but 1 of each off is what’s guaranteed) You must be available from open until 7pm year round and 9pm during holiday season (Mid November until Christmas) All candidates must be 19 years of age or older, and must be comfortable working alone.
Other skills required are
Customer Interaction and Knowledge - our sales associates MUST have the people skills, listening skills, and conversation skills required to get to know, and form relationships with our customers. You must be a conversation starter, genuinely ENJOY talking to and getting to know people, as well as being a good listener. You must be able to HEAR what our customers are saying, and then use that information to understand their needs and how to help them best.
Self motivation - you will be expected to take care of all day to day operations of the store with minimal supervision. Always putting the customer first, while keeping yourself busy during the off peak with other tasks including cleaning, stocking, unpacking clothes, steaming clothes, merchandising etc. There is always work to be done, and we expect our employees to work hard all throughout their shift.
You must be confident enough in your knowledge to be able to fill a change room with pieces that would look great on each individual customer.
Sales: you must be able to meet and/or exceed your sales targets. Simply showing up and completing a ”to-do” checklist won’t be enough for this position. Our customers deserve the best and that includes having confident and knowledgable sales associates that can make suggestions, assist them, and go the extra mile to find great fits.
This position will start quite part time, and the number of hours will grow after training is complete, sales targets are being met, and productivity and customer satisfaction is at a high.
Other things to note
*MUST be willing to work 2-4 shifts each week without restricting availability, while understanding that certain times of year, hours could be reduced. or extended. We are a “pay for performance” business and employees with the best performance get priority for hours
*Must be comfortable being on social media and being a part of our photoshoots for our website
